ATTA Training deliver this course on behalf of Prime Skills who are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia.

Prime Skills offer this test and tag courses which is accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and adhere to Australian Standards AS/NZS 3760.

This training comprises of two Units of Competency:-

Once your training is successfully completed, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for both units from Prime Skills.

Test and Tag Non-Accredited Courses

ATTA Training also offer a Certificate of Competency, which is Nationally Recognised Training in compliance with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.

This course will provide in-depth training you need to become a “Competent Person” to test and tag. The certification you will earn is recognized by Australian employers and institutions.

Individuals or business owners can complete this course. It is ideally suitable for Tradies wanting to Test and Tag their own tools and leads or Maintenance personal in larger businesses being able to adhere with the OH&S compliance regulations.

Once your training is successfully completed, you will receive a Certificate of Competency from ATTA Training.

What are the qualifications I will receive? Upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Competency.

Are there any course prerequisites? Must be of legal age (18 years old and above). No previous electrical knowledge or background is required. Good English reading, writing and comprehension is required.

Short Course:

This training course will equip you with the basic test and tag requirement as per AS/NZS 3760 standards. You will still be able to test and tag for personal or business use.  It will also cover the units in UEENEEE101A and UEENEEP026A. But, you will only get a Certificate of Competency as proof of training.

What are the qualifications I will receive? Upon successful completion, you will receive a Competency Card. It will have your Certificate number, which is unique and lost or stolen cards can be replaced.

Are there any course prerequisites? Must be of legal age (18 years old and above). No previous electrical knowledge or background is required. Good English reading, writing and comprehension is required.

What to Expect on Training Day:
  • Training usually starts at 8:30 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Please refer to the booking details.
  • We will provide morning tea and lunch. Please contact our team in advance for considerations on special diets.
  • We will provide you with the manuals, pen, paper, and equipment.
  • You can bring your own appliance tester if you already have one, our trainers know most of the popular brands and will be happy to show you how to use it after the training session is over, should they be familiar with yours.
  • To provide a better learning experience, classes are typically small. This will allow a more conducive “One on One” training environment.
  • Our trainers are experts with decades of experience in the test and tag industry.
Portable Appliance Testers:

The course will be run using Seaward PAC 3760 DL testers. Our trainers are familiar with most of the common PAT Testers available in the Australian market and will be happy to assist in your decision making for those who are looking to buy their own.
